Lens Review: Sugoi Eyes Dango Brown Series

Hi everyone! Welcome to my second review post about cosplay items. Last time, I have posted my wig review about Mcoser wig. On this new post, I’ll talk about my review about a certain brand of contact lens. Once again, please be guided that I’m not an expert when it comes to cosplay items and my experience or opinions may not fit with your own.

Disclaimer: I asked permission to use some of their photos for this blog. Also, this is not a sponsored post.

(EDIT: I’m supposed to publish this article before Cosplay Carnival but due to some unexpected problems I have’t been able to post it yet. I apologize for the delay.)

Recently, I’ve been stuck in the Hetalia fandom once again after a long time. One of the reasons is because my friend (the blog owner of G-picks) gave me her Vietnam costume as a gift. To get to know more of Vietnam, I indulged myself once again in the Hetalia fandom (btw I’m a huge shipper of Chibitalia and Holy Roman Empire). I started to love her character and I decided to cosplay her this coming Cosplay Carnival 2016.

When I looked at her character design once again for reference, I’ve noticed her amber eyes. I started searching non-stop for shops with contact lens that is quite similar with her eyes until I found this contact lens from GWYSHOP

I’ve noticed that the manufacturer of the lenses is EOS Contact Lens (Eyes of Seduction), one of the famous korean lens brand with great variety of contact lens.  Feeling convinced with the price and a certain review that I found in Facebook, I decided to buy the said lens.  The transaction was smooth and the package arrived on the day that I expected.

Evaluation Time

As I stated in my earlier product review,  I’ll evaluate each reviews based on a scale of 1 to 5  (5 being the highest and 1 being the lowest. Also, I’ll put an added remarks before I end this evaluation.

Color:

Rating: ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

I love  how the color blends with my dark brown eyes. In normal light exposure, my eyes appears as natural brown. The amber color is really visible in direct sunlight and flash.

Comfort:

Rating: ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

The lens are soft and I can’t feel like I’m wearing lens at all after a few minutes of wearing them. However, I still need to put a lubricant since it feels dry after a few hours.

Design:

Rating: ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

When worn, the lens made my eyes look a bit natural due to the design. Also, the black circular design in the lens gave enlargement effect on my eyes. A new friend from the Hetalia fandom said that she can’t stop looking at my eyes  (must be the tantalizing effect of the lens //slapped)

Overall Verdict and Remarks:

Overall Rating: ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Like the EOS Lens, this lens really paid off all my worries. The quality was great and it’s really worthy for the price. The lens are soft and I can’t feel that I am wearing lens at all. However, it is really advisable to put some lubricant from time to time especially if it’s your first time in wearing contact lens.
